Unfortunately, all battles are against the same robot, but with varying difficulty. There are over 200 battles in the campaign to keep players occupied. Like many of Hexage's releases, such as Evac and Radiant, Robotek HD is chock-full of neon effects, smooth animations, and lounge-electro house music. Battles are also easy to follow, thanks to a window full of bot descriptions presented before every attack. Hexage struck a nice balance of strategy and luck with this system, which makes Robotek's battles both casual and engaging. All orders are unconventionally carried out through a mini slot machine. Assault mode features high-damage attacks. Espionage consists of creating force fields, weakening enemy stats, and hijacking control of enemy bots. Support bots provide extra artillery and front-line defense. Combat in Robotek revolves around three major tactics: summoning support bots, espionage, and assault. In Robotek, the objective is to weaken the enemy defense lines and reduce enemy health to zero. ![]() It's up to you to drive out the robotic invaders, one node at a time, and take back your home world. Robotek takes place in a post-human world where robots have taken over to create a new world order. Not to be confused with a certain anime hit from the '80s, Robotek HD is a turn-based, robotic fighting game for the Android platform. ![]()
